VISIT TO DAKHINESHWAR

"Sad Poem" "Religious Poem" "Poor Poem" "Society Poem"

Today the river had a typical force,
While flowing ikn it’s normal coarse,
But many things made me think deep,
While I took the holy ‘prasad’ water in a sip.

My offering puja got long over,
I noticed not a single person was sober,
With hawkers pulling for sale,
It made the temple premises worse than hell.

There came people from different place,
Just to get “Dakhineswar Mata’s “bless,
But the authority took no care,
And tagged every free place “fare”,
They were in full stride of cheating,
I got angry and ready for beating,
But dad held my hands tight,
So that I won’t start a cruel fight..

I was saddened by the sight of the cute monkeys,
As they were thrown stones by some “Idiot donkeys”,
These donkeys were animals of my kind,
But seemed to lack their humanitarian mind.

I enjoyed a bath in the Ganges River,
While it’s chilled water gave me a shiver,
I took many holy dips,
While some took their holy water sips,
Of our Ganga that was once so pure,
It said once it had power to cure,
But now it has lost that power,
Due to our waste dumping shower,
 I witnessed many wastes flowing,
And our mother river happily swallowing,
She was suffering all our treacherous punishment,
While we were busy in sailing enjoyment.

After completing my morning breakfast,
I made my photography passion “The must”,
I clicked many photos of serene beauty,
And captured many people bunking duty.

Seeing all and blaming all,
I gave our rickshaw puller a call,
While waiting for him to come,
My eyes caught the sight of some,
Some sitting with plates in hand,
And some wearing gold bracelet band,
Some begging for a little money,
And some romancing away calling each other”honey”,
I saw many children playing in footpath,
While some cleaning themselves in a paid bath,
This was a very sorrow sight,
And I came to my sense with an ant bite,
I tried to help them with money as much as possible,
But my help aroused them in a bad tussle,
Now I don’t know what to do,whom to blame,

Just praying not to see this next time all the same..
